Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to everyone who uses Medical Study Atlas (the website at medical-study-atlas.vercel.app and the app you can install from it). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. What the site is

Medical Study Atlas is a study library for medical students. It collects lecture files and adds study material made from them: summaries, flash cards, practice exams, Arabic (bilingual) versions and a 3D anatomy explorer.

2. For study only, not medical advice

• Everything on the site is for learning and exam revision only. It is not medical advice and must not be used to diagnose or treat anyone.
• The summaries, flash cards, exams and Arabic versions are prepared from the lectures and may contain mistakes or omissions. Always check against the original lecture and your lecturers. Your university's official material and instructions come first.
• Drug doses and clinical guidance in study material can be outdated or simplified. Never use them for real patients.

3. Accounts and access codes

• Some parts of the site need an account. You create one with a user name, a password and an access code.
• An access code can be used once, for one account, and gives access until the date linked to that code.
• Your account is personal. Do not share your password, your account or your code with others. Keep your password safe; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
• During free-access periods every visitor gets an automatic guest account (for example "Guest 12") so that the daily study streak can be saved. A guest account cannot be used to sign in after the free period ends.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, for example one that is shared, resold or used to copy the library in bulk.

4. Lecture files, study material and copyright

• Lecture files remain the work of their lecturers and universities. They are shared here only so that students can study them for their own courses.
• You may view, download and print material for your own personal study. You may not sell, republish, re-upload or redistribute the site's files or study material, or offer them as your own product.
• Do not use scripts, bots or other automated tools to download or copy the library.
• If you are the author or owner of a lecture and want it credited differently or removed, email us (see section 10) and we will act on it promptly.
• The 3D anatomy models come from Z-Anatomy (CC BY-SA 4.0) and BodyParts3D © DBCLS (CC BY-SA 2.1 JP) and stay under those licences.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• try to get around the login, access codes or the protection on lecture files;
• attack, overload or probe the site, or try to read other users' data;
• upload or send anything harmful (malware, spam) through the site;
• impersonate another person or use someone else's account.

6. Your data

• For an account we keep your user name, your access period and the days you studied (for the daily streak). Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider and are never visible to us.
• How the site uses cookies and browser storage is explained in the Cookies Policy.
• To have your account and its data deleted, email us (see section 10).

7. Services we rely on

The site runs on Vercel (hosting and anonymous visitor statistics) and Supabase (accounts and file storage). Their own terms and privacy policies apply to the parts they provide.

8. Availability and changes to the site

• The site is provided "as is". We work to keep it available and accurate, but we do not promise that it will always be online, error-free or complete.
• We may add, change or remove lectures and features at any time, and free-access periods end on the date announced.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Medical Study Atlas is not responsible for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or relying on its content, including exam results, mistakes in study material, or the site being unavailable.

• We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
